Product Release Notes - September 2019 - Sunsetting Google Average Position
The Shape product and engineering team spent most of September working behind the scenes on a new feature we are excited to launch later this year. The only major change to the platform you'll notice as a Shape customer center around the average position metric from Google.
Starting September 30, 2019, Google will no longer provide the avg. position metric to advertisers in the Google Ads interface or via the Google Ads API.
No action is needed from Shape customers as part of this transition. However, if you use avg. position in any reports pulled from Shape you may want to update your report templates.
